Training, Schooling and Eventing Academy

Fulfil your ambitions by joining our team

Training

A wide variety of training can be offered in flatwork, showjumping and x-country. We can offer lessons on your own horse/pony or you can have a lesson on one of Sara's own horses. Lessons can be tailored for all levels and abilities from budding young competition riders who one day hope to become a professional riders to amateurs who want to start competing or just generally improve themselves.

  • Private Lessons - These can be at the team's yard or at your own yard. They are generally 45min.
  • Group Lessons - Again at the team's yard or your own yard. These lessons will be longer depending on how many there are in the group.
  • Courses - Bring your own horse for a short break and some more intense training. You could also have several days training on one of Sara's own horses. Courses are tailored to suit your needs. Use of the teams facilities is included. There will be daily lessons plus visits to our local x-country schooling grounds if required. They can be DIY based or full livery and B&B can be arranged for you. Keep an eye on the diary page to see any group courses we have arranged.
  • Adult Summer Camp 2014
  • Pony clubs and Riding Clubs - Sara has taught for several Pony Clubs and Riding Clubs across the North East. She has trained several eventing teams to victory at area level.

Schooling

If you don't have time, have no jockey or just want your horse or pony trained to a better level on the flat or jumping the team can help. Your horse or pony will be on full livery and schooling at the yard will be included, Sara and Danielle are also available to compete your horse if you require it. If you would like to keep your horse at your own yard Sara is available to come to you.

Working Pupils

If you would like to work with horses either full time or just for a short period, the team can offer opportunities to come and work and train on the yard. Sara has successfully trained pupils for their Pony Club tests and BHS stages and believes nothing beats practical knowledge. It also gives pupils the opportunity to get more intense training and also ride some of Sara's horses. Pupils will also get to travel to some of the biggest events in the country.

Grooming Opportunities
Working pupils will get the opportunity to groom at events such as Badminton

Eventing Academy

The team has set up an academy of budding competition riders. These riders are being given the complete training and assistance package. Sara is offering training in all disciplines that covers assistance in fittening, care, on board schooling, private lessons and courses. She is also available to attend competions with academy members when her diary allows.

In the future it is hoped that the team will have a string of horses and ponies that clients who do not have their own competition horse can take out and compete themselves. Current members progress can be followed on the news pages.
